We’re sharing all the details of the McCaffrey-Culpo Wedding that’s captivated everyone’s attention this season from the Today Show to Vogue to The Knot. Their Story

For our readers who may not be familiar with this lovely couple, Christian McCaffrey is a running back for the San Francisco 49ers and Olivia Culpo is a former Miss USA. The two started dating in 2019 and were engaged in 2023 while on vacation in Utah. They celebrated their engagement party over the 4th of July weekend in their home state of Rhode Island (The Knot).

Olivia’s Dresses

Olivia wore elegantly understated makeup for her wedding (Today.Com) and donned a simple, effortless, custom long-sleeved crew neck Dolce & Gabbana gown with back buttons. She accompanied her frock with a 16-foot-long veil to complete her traditional wedding ensemble. “I wanted something that felt as serious as that commitment,” she says (Vogue). The dress drew tons of attention on social media (Vogue Australia). There was no doubt that her ensemble was an absolutely breathtaking look, applauded by guests and admirers.

But why stop there? Nothing like a wardrobe change to add some drama to an entrance. While transitioning between the ceremony and the reception, Olivia changed into yet another Dolce and Gabbana dress. This gown draped off her shoulders and featured a high waist with a silk flower on the neck.

And finally, she changed into her final look of the night sometime later in the evening. This time opting for a silken body suit with a mini cage skirt, organza flowers, tulle gloves, and a flower choker.

The Wedding Deets . . .

Christian and Olivia were married on June 29, 2024. Their ceremony was held in the historic Watch Hill Chapel. The reception took place in the charismatically yellow Ocean House, both in Watch Hill, Rhode Island.

The bride and groom were shuttled from the chapel to Ocean House in a vintage Rolls Royce for their timeless New England reception. The choice of transportation reflected the classic, chic and elegant style of the day’s events wonderfully.

Greenery lined the pathway to the Ocean House. Lush green garden florals were bountiful, as though they were native to the countryside. This was Olivia’s vision. Her event designers executed it perfectly, allowing the event florals to merge with the venue’s natural landscape, leaving no detail untended in the process. To put it in one word, the execution was seamless.

In true New England style, guests were treated to seafood and overflowing libations, including decadent chilled lobster rolls and champagne in addition to their main courses.

According to Vogue, guests walked through a floral archway bedecked with hydrangeas, peonies, and roses as they entered the outdoor venue tent. The table decor featured antique garden urn planters and vintage silver vases under the glow of glass chandeliers.

As the night progressed everyone headed to the SHOUT! dance floor for hours of enjoyment.

And as Olivia and Christian left for their afterparty back at Ocean House, their guests threw confetti.
